I’m on holiday people!!!! Right now at this moment I’m at Cik Amin’s house in Pekan Nenas, Johor. At last, my call of relaxation was answered! Alhamdulillah. I brought along my Aspire as I’m afraid that I will die of boredom. And I’ve just watched ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ from the lappy itself all thanks to abang for uploaded it for me yesterday night.
The whole family woke up at 4 but as usual, being the last one to get ready, I woke up at 3.30! We set off to Tuas checkpoint at 5 because dad was afraid of traffic jam which indeed was true. And I’m kind of pissed with the Malaysian Immigration Officer for such a slow service that she gave. She took about 15 minutes to check our passports!!
Upon reaching Malaysia, the weather was unkind to us. Thunder and lightning struck and heavy rain accompanied our journey. Luckily the heavy downpour did not spoil our plan and we reached to our destination safe and sound. Oh yah! I had the best Nasi Lemak that I’ve ever eaten in my whole life!!! It was cover in Banana leaves and been wrapped in a newspaper. This type of wrappings can never been found in Singapore! Even though it was in a small portion, nevertheless, I felt full! After eating, mama told me that the one cooking the Nasi Lemak is actually my other uncle’s mother in-law. Get it? And she sold all the Nasi Lemak at the price of RM1.50?? It’s freaking cheap! After breakfast, nap conquers me because I was defeated by the cool weather. Woke up in the afternoon to have lunch and all food was of Kampong style!!! I had few servings, and it was delicious.
After this, my cousin and I will be touring around the kampong and guess what? I’m going to ride my uncle’s bike! Haha this is total FREEDOM!!!!!!!!
Stay tune for Day Two in Malaysia tomorrow!

Moving on to Day two. Did I mention in yesterday’s entry that I’m riding my uncle’s motorbike?? Ouh well, we did toured around the kampong but we only go on a straight direction because I’m no used to skid and turned the bike around because I’m afraid I will be the one turning around! Ok mind my indirect language because I’m eager to tell you the climax of the story. I was heading towards the straight road with the speed of 40 km/h and when I’m stable, I increased it to 50km/h and suddenly I saw this giant creature which could actually made me peed my Bermudas. Komodo lion!!! It was slowly crawling crossing the road and its size could actually gulp the whole of my niece!!! It will be too late for me to step onto the brake paddle and I was told to hold the clutch but blame my ‘kan cheong’ ness, I wheeled onto the Komodo dragon’s tail! At that moment I was hoping that the creature will not take its revenge by biting my leg off. Nah, I’m back in one piece. That would be my last time riding bikes illegally.
I could actually gain a lot of weight by just staying at my uncle’s place. For breakfast, I had roti canai, kway teow goreng with cockles, roti john and durian. During tea time I had tea with durian and dragon fruit. For lunch, I had simply kampong food such as lemak daun ubi with sambal binjai, ikan sepat masin with tempoyak and ikan terubuk masak pehchel. It was super spicy and dad kept visiting toilet.
Then I followed my mom to the back of my uncle’s house in our mission to catch rambutans and durians. So far, we only collected one pail of rambutan and mom plucked cili padi and limau sambal and as for me, I plucked some lemon grass and helped my uncle since he can’t work much as he just recover from his appendix surgery. In the afternoon, we went to Kip Mart and I have no idea where is that mart and we shopped for groceries. Then we went to Jakel to shop for some clothes. It’s similar to Arab Street where you can find thousands of fabrics from all ranging of prices. So far, I bought 2 sets of fabrics and I’ve plan to make Baju Kurung and Kebaya Moden. It was worthwhile because everyone bought their own things. Mom bought her groceries, Dad’s paying for everything and as for me, and I had two sets for this year’s Raya. To make it short, we set off to Pasar Larkin and made arrangements with that Chinese seamstress and had my measurements taken. And again, for dinner, we had seafood meals at Danga Bay’s Singgah Selalu. That place was significant for me as that was the place where I got my nephew and niece lost in the middle of Winnie the Pooh Roadshow. The Ramli’s had Siakap Sweet and Sour, BBQ Stingray, Egg tofu Claypot, Kangkong Belacan and Seafood Tomyam. So I gained few Kgs and mom promised to drag me to North Park to shed some weight! Haha like real???
I really enjoyed myself and my family and I’m blessed to be the last child of Mohd Ramli Nordin!!!!
