Hilarious
Ake is going to perform in the public!!!ok, that’s not the hot news. The hot news is, Crimson Sun’s AWESOME!!! After all those crazy practices and tons of scolding and counting of music bars, it was worthwhile! Angklung One, you girls rock! And Sabrina thanks for tolerating my counting nonsense! I remembered one of the practices that we had in school. The one where all of us had to act fierce when the song ends. I was scrutinizing the whole ensemble coz my parts yet to come and all looked very serious and Diyanah and Hidayah stared at the conductor as if the conductor owed them $50! And when I saw Hendra, OMG! Instead of showing his fierce expression, he freaking pout!!! I should have not looked at his freaking expression!!!! I missed my parts!
Diyanah, the emcee. Baa and I saw you fall like ‘’nangka busuk’’!!!! She slipped and falls flat on her bump! Ms Alicia was totally speechless!!! She was like, ‘’let’s welcome the Angklung blabla bla…. Woohooooooo!’’ and within split seconds, she falls and can still ‘’Woohhhoooooo-ing’’!! The whole ensemble just witnessed another version of America’s Funniest Video! It took me a while to settle down.
During one of the Ayo Mama practices. I was playing the Bass Kulintang together with Baa and Nurul. Ok, no harm, the bass part was rather mundane coz it was repeated. So Baa and I decided to do something fun. Like shaking, jumping and dancing!!! We thought that Ms Wee was furious about it coz she stared at us and to me directly. At last, she laughed and joined in the fun! I mean, from the conductors podium!
During Thank God I’m a Country Boy practices. Diyanah treat it like a dangdut session and she just shake the upper part of her body! Because of the both of us, all those who were not playing were asked to dance!
And my mom got pissed off coz she couldn’t pass Epok-epok that she bought for me, coz the ushers disallow her too! She kept complaining! And she slept during first half of the concert!

Top secret
On the day of the concert, it’s one of the ake-ians birthday, apparently its hendra. Asrida, came to me and said that she need to collect the stuffs for the birthday boy. Well at last, after few distractions, she went off with another junior and collects the things. So, poor birthday boy! And yes, during one of the band practices, some of us went out to prepare things for him without his knowledge. Ms Wee and Ms Alicia decided to distract him as he was watching the band performing. ( like as if he knew we were planning something for him!) the rest of the ake-ians were inside the dressing room. After much planning and brain cracking, we decided to use Asrida as our main crew to surprise the birthday boy. I knew it was cruel but somehow, Asrida agreed to it. So off we crept slowly to the dressing room while the birthday boy seated in the hall. We told the rest our plans and off they went to follow Asrida to carry out plan One. The plan Two was that, I’m supposed to run into the hall and shout ‘’ Asrida fainted!!!!’’ ok, the plan Two was well planned. Yus and I ran like some mad women and barged into the birthday boy. Ms Wee, whom already knew the plan she was like ‘’Oh really??’’ and she laughed behind the birthday boy. So, to make things real I ran. Yes! I ran! The best part was, the birthday boy ran as if there was no sense of urgency. Perhaps he was too tired or he’s immune to all this. Upon seeing the crowd, he was shocked!!! With birthday cake!!! Asrida!!! We did it!!!
Tinge of sadness
Musique Unifiante was Ms Wee’s last concert. It’s hard to believe that she’s leaving us. She cried when we played second surprise piece for her. I shall miss her deeply because she is so patience in handling difficult students and her motherly figure in taking care of us totally pushed all of us to perform our very best and very caring towards all of us during our Brisbane trip. Among all, I shall miss her shouting and her stories.
On the way to RP, suddenly, I had the urge to sit alone in the bus. I plugged on the headphones to my ear. And yes, I was thinking of him. I played the song that he usually sings. Well, I shall not continue. Skip.
This is going to be the very last performance with the seniors. I’m going to miss them. Seriously.
Conclusion
I’m delighted that everything about AKE for this year has over! CD Recordings and Musique Unifiante. I’ve received bouquet of roses from dearest Janna and Rizal and Nizar. And Winnie the Pooh Balloons from Arifah! And a bracelet that Janna bought for me! OMG!!! I’m feeling-feeling Diva on that time! All of us went home late and luckily daddy fetched me home. Yeah, that’s about it folks!
