I realized that I did not input any quotes into my entries. Nah... Yesterday and last two days ago, there was a group of Indonesian students in Methodists School in Medan came to our school to observe the education system in our school. My class was considered lucky as we had three students, Berliana, Santhos and Rodi to be with us. Rodi was assigned to sit beside me and I was asked to make him comfortable. Well I did my part. He is a well mannered boy and he quite bubbly. He came from Timor Leste and when asked to tell the whole class about his country, it was quite heartrending.
If you were a news person, you will know what had landed on Timor Leste now. Well his family and he were safe and he is now in Medan pursuing his studies. Next is Santhos. His story was rather depressing. He had lost two of his beloved ones due to the brutal Tsunami attack last two years. Santhos was very hushed and seldom talks. He was like anti-social compared to Rodi and Berliana. As for Berliana, she is leading a normal life that an average student will lead. Well for their two days of stay, I had benefited a lot from their life experience that they had told us.
Now I knew there are other people whom suffered worst than us. Its just that we took things for granted. For example, we usually misused the computer in our classrooms and regard it as white elephant. But they? They could hardly found any computers in their school! We are very fortunate!
Today Mdm Gill treated us lunch! First time in history class all were very quiet when she teaches.
Aiya... Mother is away again to Johore, but now she is alone without my father. This weekend, my cousin is getting married. I am in the midst of confusion whether I should go. I had to miss my tuition and prelims are less than a month away. I can feel the stress now and I seriously need chocolates!
I think that I will not celebrate my birthday this year. I plan to do an outing to Escape Theme Park but I realized that I am just few miles away from the preparatory of Prelim and O levels warfare. Same goes to celebration of Hari Raya. I decided to make it a stop. I had settled my long leave and now I ought to come back to the right track.
I will have to leave now. Goodnight world.
